A collaboration between A-POC and Issey Miyake's lighting division, Atelier Oï, is grounded in the philosophy 'a piece of cloth,' expressing their shared ideology.

In the heart of Milan, the fashion and design capital, a unique collaboration between A-POC Able Issey Miyake and Swiss architectural design studio Atelier Oï is set to captivate attendees at Milan Design Week 2025. The Type-XIII Atelier Oï Project, showcased at Issey Miyake's Milan store (Via Bagutta 12, 20121 Milan), will take place from the 8th to the 13th of April, 2025.

This innovative partnership brings together two renowned entities: A-POC Able, Issey Miyake's pioneering fabric technology, and Atelier Oï, a design brand known for its experimental and innovative fashion. The collaboration takes the 'a piece of cloth' philosophy of Issey Miyake and applies it to lighting, resulting in two series: the 'O Series' and the 'A Series'.

The 'O Series' presents a range of portable lamps, developed in collaboration with Japanese manufacturer Ambientec. Each lamp features an oval-shaped wire frame and a shade crafted from A-POC Able's innovative 'steam stretch' fabric. The shade can be detached and folded flat for easy transportation, making these lamps a perfect blend of art and functionality.

On the other hand, the 'A Series' consists of elegant wire pendant lamps. The lamps feature seamless knit fabric draped and stretched over different twisting wire frames, creating a harmonious blend of form and function. The first release in the 'A Series' is a prototype pendant light, created in collaboration with Spanish lighting brand Parachilna.
