Almaty Launches 'Green Courtyard' Campaign to Plant Deciduous Trees
Almaty Akimat has launched the 'Green Courtyard' greening campaign, inviting residents of multi-apartment buildings to participate. The initiative aims to plant and care for deciduous trees across the city. Applications are open until October 12, with saplings distributed later in the month.
Residents can apply for up to 20 saplings each, committing to care for them for three years. After planting, participants must submit a photo report. The campaign is open to city residents only, excluding legal entities, private sector residents, and those living outside city limits.
Saplings will be distributed on October 18 and 19 at the Eco Almaty base. For more information or to apply, contact +7 (778) 382-60-01 or +7 (727) 338-31-06, or email [email protected]. Applicants should provide their full name, contact details, planting address, number of saplings required, and a photo of the intended location.
The local government is responsible for creating a new company dedicated to planting and landscape design in Almaty. The 'Green Courtyard' campaign aims to enhance the city's green spaces and encourage community involvement in environmental initiatives.
