Ayrburn Classic: Motoring, Music & Culinary Delights This Weekend
Ayrburn, a renowned food and wine destination near Arrowtown, is hosting the Ayrburn Classic this weekend. The three-day event, running from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd, coincides with the Otago Anniversary Weekend and promises a delightful blend of motoring, music, and culinary delights.
The centrepiece of the Ayrburn Classic is the Showcase on the Dell. This features a parade lap and stage presentation of the best cars, with owner interviews. The event draws inspiration from international motoring events in the UK and US, aiming to showcase both New Zealand's automotive craftsmanship and the latest offerings from global luxury car brands.
Live music performances and DJ sets are scheduled throughout the weekend, with singer-songwriter Miranda Easten headlining the entertainment. Known for her country music and hosting the Southern Cross Country Workday radio show, Easten is also a passionate car enthusiast and owner of an original DeLorean. She will be joined by other talented musicians, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere.
The event caters to a wide range of visitors. While exclusive VIP spaces and functions offer a premium experience, lawn games and a best-dressed competition provide fun for the broader audience. Dining and wine tasting options from Ayrburn's establishments are also available, allowing guests to indulge in the region's culinary delights.
Ticket prices for the Ayrburn Classic range from $50 for a Day Pass to $300 for the VIP Island Day Pass. The first day is exclusively for entrants, judges, and invited guests. The event promises to be a fantastic celebration of cars, music, and food, attracting enthusiasts and visitors alike to Ayrburn this weekend.
