Blenheim women establish fashion trends
**Blenheim Palace Unveils Exciting New Exhibitions for Summer 2025**
This summer, Britain's Greatest Palace, Blenheim Palace, is celebrating 75 years since opening to the public with a summer-long celebration called '75 Things To Do'. Among the exciting activities on offer, two new experiences stand out: the **"Ladies of Blenheim: Style and Celebration" exhibition** and the interactive **"Meet the Collections Team" experience**.
From June 28 to August 31, visitors can step into the world of the Spencer-Churchill women, influential figures who shaped three centuries of British history, at the "Ladies of Blenheim: Style and Celebration" exhibition. This special showcase features centuries-old gowns, including royal wedding dresses, elaborate coronation court attire, and heirloom accessories that have been carefully preserved and rarely displayed publicly—many pieces have been hidden away for over 20 years due to their delicate condition.
The exhibition is more than just a fashion display; it explores how personal style connects with public history, offering visitors a tangible link to significant national events and intimate family celebrations. It sheds light on stories of glamour, duty, and celebration through these historic garments, preserved in climate-controlled environments to ensure their longevity.
In addition to viewing the exquisite collection, visitors can participate in the **"Meet the Collections Team" experience**, available every weekend from July to October at 2 pm. This interactive event allows guests to meet Blenheim’s expert collections team, who share their favourite artifacts and the fascinating stories behind them, including items like newly conserved Boulle coffers, crafted by Louis XIV's cabinetmaker, and an 18th-century Battle of Arbela tapestry not seen for a century.
Entry to both the exhibition and the 'Meet the Collections Team' experience is included with a valid Blenheim Palace pass or day ticket. The Palace and Gardens Ticket or Palace and Play Pass grants access to both Blenheim Palace and Adventure Play for a full year.
The 'Ladies of Blenheim' exhibition and 'Meet the Collections Team' experiences are part of the summer-long celebration at Blenheim Palace, which promises exciting activities for history lovers, young families, and adventure seekers. So, mark your calendars and prepare for an unforgettable journey into the lives of the Spencer-Churchill women and the history of Blenheim Palace.
