Bread and Water Co., renowned for its distinctive culinary creations, has been designated the official pretzel supplier for Capital One Arena. The local bakery, previously serving burgers at the venue, will now offer its signature figure eight pretzels to fans attending hockey, basketball games, concerts, and special events.
The company, owned by the same team behind Beeliner Diner and The Dog Park in Alexandria, will handcraft up to 5,000 pretzels weekly for the arena. These aren't ordinary pretzels; they're crafted using a Swiss Bavarian master baker's method and lye-dipped for that perfect chewy exterior.
The entire Bread and Water Co. team will be involved in this new venture, ensuring that fans can enjoy their award-winning Bun Papa concept alongside their games. While it was initially rumored that new staff were hired specifically for this purpose, there's no confirmed information on this at present.
