Expansion of Daycare Centers in Solingen: MWB Wins Tender for Multiple Projects

In the city of Solingen, exciting developments are underway in the realm of childcare infrastructure. Mülheimer Wohnungsbau eG (MWB), a long-standing organisation with over 125 years of operation, has been selected to construct and manage several new daycare centers.

The first project for MWB in Solingen is the daycare center on Höher Straße, scheduled to open in summer 2025. This facility will offer space for an additional group of children.

Simultaneously, the daycare center Löwenzahn on Margaretenstraße and the daycare center Kleeblatt on Friedrich-Ebert-Straße are both set to commence operations in spring 2025, with each centre accommodating three new groups.

Moreover, the daycare center at the clinic and the daycare center Pinocchio 4 are also scheduled to open in summer 2025, offering space for four and two more groups, respectively.

The daycare center Burg is planned for a fall 2025 opening, with an additional group to be accommodated.

In total, these projects will create 1355 square meters of usable area, with construction taking place on an approximately 3500 square meter plot of land.

The expansion of daycare centers in Solingen is not a one-time event, as plans for further development in the coming year have been announced.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information about these projects and future developments, it's recommended to consult official announcements from the City of Solingen, local government websites, regional media, or Solingen's official urban development plans and education sector reports.

The proposed urban development plans in Solingen include not only expansion of daycare centers, but also a focus on lifestyle improvements with the addition of a fashion-and-beauty outlet.

In addition to the new home-and-garden center planned for a spring 2026 opening, these developments aim to enhance the overall quality of life in Solingen.
