Toyota Tacoma Owners Showcase Custom Builds

In the world of custom Toyota Tacomas, two enthusiasts have recently joined the ranks of those who have taken their vehicles to the next level. Jevon Truex and Ultra_Taco, members of the 4th generation Toyota Tacoma Owners Group on Facebook, have each embarked on a unique journey to modify their Tacomas.

Jevon Truex, a new member of the group, recently acquired a 2025 Toyota Tacoma i-Force Max Premium. Soon after pickup, he had a full wrap applied to his new ride. While the specifics of the wrap are yet to be disclosed, it's clear that Jevon has a keen eye for style and quality, as he chose the Addictive Desert Design with a warn EV winch.

Meanwhile, Ultra_Taco, a fourth-generation Tacoma owner, has invested significantly in modifying his 2022 TRD OR Premium. With a total cost of around $80,000, Ultra_Taco's modifications include lights, suspension, wheels, tires, armor, and a winch. If he had opted for a cheaper lift and skipped the camper shell and rear rack, his total modifications cost would have been approximately $20,000 less.

Ultra_Taco advises fellow Tacoma enthusiasts to shop wisely for bumpers, as there are cheap, poorly made options available. He also recommends getting rock sliders before bumpers, as bumpers are easier to replace than rocker panels.

Jevon, too, has plans for his Tacoma. He intends to make modifications like suspension upgrades, exterior enhancements, and new wheels. Some members of the group speculate that Jevon has already spent at least $12,000 on his Tacoma modifications, although the exact figures have not been confirmed.

The estimated cost for similar upgrades to a fourth-generation Toyota Tacoma, including lift, aftermarket upper control arms, wheel/tire combo, re-gear, bumpers, and rock sliders, ranges from $6,000 to $12,000, depending on the setup and labor costs. It's worth noting that labor costs for these modifications can be around $130-$140 per hour.

Interestingly, Jevon's Tacoma is not a daily driver, but a weekend toy. With only 30 miles on it, it's clear that Jevon is taking his time to perfect his build. Diego Burgos, a fellow group member, expressed excitement about seeing Jevon's Tacoma before and after the wrap. Charlie Are praised Jevon's post and encouraged him to continue sharing updates on his build.

Ultra_Taco, too, continues to share his build journey, despite the significant investment. He has not yet regeared, done the body mount chop, or switched to 35s, but his Tacoma is a testament to the passion and dedication that comes with customising a vehicle.

As these two Tacoma owners continue to modify their vehicles, they inspire others in the 4th generation Toyota Tacoma Owners Group to dream big and create their own unique rides.

Jevon Truex's Tacoma transformation, extending beyond the automotive realm, is expected to encompass not only suspension upgrades, wheel modifications, and exterior enhancements but also imprints a personal touch on his home-and-garden space as he aligns his lifestyle with his customized car. Ultra_Taco, with his significant investment in modifying his Tacoma, is not only redefining the functionality and appearance of his vehicle but also cultivating a home-and-garden sanctuary that complements his automotive passion and lifestyle, consisting of home-and-garden, cars, and even the home-grown garden tools that might adorn his garage shelves.
