In the heart of Düsseldorf, a new addition is set to enhance the city's amenities. The new public toilet facility, part of the "EKISO" development concept, is being funded through the state funding program "Active city and district centers" of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The cost of this new facility is estimated at approximately 180,000 euros, and its commissioning is scheduled for the beginning to mid-September. The toilet facility has been installed over a period of eight weeks from May this year, with final remaining and connection works still ongoing.

The new facility, located at Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 54, near the central bus stops in front of the main station, is designed to be disabled-accessible and vandalism-resistant. Careful planning and coordination regarding underground structures and supply lines were required due to the local conditions of the "bus stop area at the main station."

The wish for a free-of-charge, barrier-free toilet facility in the vicinity of the main station came from the citizens as a result of intensive public participation. The new public toilet provides a service in a central, highly frequented area of the city, further densifying the city's toilet network.

City treasurer Dorothée Schneider, responsible for the Building Management Department, is pleased with the implementation of the measure. The modern toilet facility blends in with the already installed lighting and bike rack pillars along Friedrich-Ebert-Straße, guiding the way towards the city center in its green signal color.

If you're looking for quieter hotel accommodations near Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, hotels like B&B Hotel Düsseldorf-Mitte and Motel One Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof may be suitable. For information about public restroom improvements near the train station, it's recommended to contact Düsseldorf city officials or Deutsche Bahn customer service directly for the latest updates.

Public restrooms in major German train stations, typically operated by companies like Wall GmbH or Deutsche Bahn, usually have a small user fee and vary in quietness and comfort. Funding for these facilities is often through user fees, city or station authority budgets, and sometimes commercial partnerships. However, no specific recent construction or renovation project for a "quiet restroom" with identified timeline and funding details emerged from the search.

This new facility, providing essential amenities to the city's residents and visitors, seamlessly blends into the lifestyle of Düsseldorf, enhancing the overall home-and-garden feel of the city center. The modern design of the public toilet facility, complete with disabled-accessibility and vandalism-resistance, makes it a welcomed addition to the home-and-garden aesthetic of Düsseldorf's central transportation hub.
