Charity Fashion Show Spotlights Emerging Designers in Prestigious New York Residences

Get ready to experience high fashion with a heart as the Charjean Couture and Friends Runway Benefit Show, hosted by 18-year-old designer Katie Davis, takes centre stage during New York Fashion Week in September 2025. The event will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 265 West 37th Street, New York, NY.

This unique event promises two shows, each showcasing the exquisite designs of independent couture designers. The first show, from 2 PM to 4 PM, will feature Charjean Couture designs, supporting Katie’s Little Angels, a nonprofit organisation that aids NICU families nationwide. The second show, from 6 PM to 8 PM, will present a collaboration between Charjean Couture and special designer Winning Sparke, showcasing a new shoe line.

The event will not only highlight the fashionable creations of Charjean Couture and Winning Sparke but also emphasise the importance of giving back to a charitable cause. Following each show, there will be free meet-and-greets, allowing attendees to connect with the designers. VIP front-row guests will receive gift bags valued over $100.

The event will also feature the collections of three additional independent couture designers: Darzi Studio, Vellachor, and Megan Renee. Darzi Studio creates made-to-order or upcycled pieces designed by Rythum Singh, with no inventory and no waste, making it fashion that evolves with the wearer, built to last, and designed to be reborn. Vellachor, inspired by antique objects and old bookstores, is ethically handcrafted and made to order, often using deadstock materials. Megan Renee, a womenswear brand founded by Megan Smith in New York, is known for its bold, sculptural silhouettes.

Closr, a shopping platform, will be used for purchasing the designers' collections. The event aims to blend timeless staging with contemporary fashion while allowing visitors to connect directly with the designers and book private consultations.

Co-hosts of the event include Closr founder Drishti Gangwani and Katherine Van Brunt, Global Real Estate Advisor at The Global Wealth Office at Nest Seekers. Gangwani and Van Brunt aim to bring luxury back to its essence: artistry, rarity, soul, and give clients a direct line to the creator, reminding them that what they wear—like where they live—should feel personal.

The event, Couture For A Cause, will be a private fashion presentation and reception held in New York City. Gangwani and Van Brunt feel the importance of supporting independent designers, as they believe true luxury is disappearing, and what once meant craftsmanship, individuality, and story has become mass-produced and over-marketed.

The event will take place in the historic Lincoln Isham House, a $10.5 million townhouse currently for sale. The duo plans to turn the event into a "cultural series" of events.

Join us for this extraordinary event during New York Fashion Week 2025, where fashion meets charity, artistry meets rarity, and luxury meets soul.
