City Discussion Led by Yuri Shalabayev: Enhancing Public Toilets in Urban Settings
In a significant step towards improving public facilities, the Directorate has installed four modern restroom modules in Pushkin Park. Located near the second park lake and the River Station, these new restrooms are easily accessible for park visitors. By the end of the year, the Directorate aims to have a total of 22 fully equipped restroom modules across the city.
The new restrooms in Pushkin Park are part of the Directorate's initiative to modernize public restrooms in the city's parks and squares. While the locations of the remaining restrooms are yet to be determined, they will be installed based on demand to ensure maximum convenience for residents and visitors alike.
Once commissioned, these new restrooms will be ready for use, marking an end to the frequent closures experienced due to negligence by lessees in the past. The restrooms will be maintained by our specialists, with cleaning organized every 2 hours to ensure high cleanliness standards.
Meanwhile, in other cities, public restrooms are also undergoing a transformation. The rooftop restrooms at Pier 17 in New York City, for instance, boast 75 modern, ADA-compliant stalls with touchless amenities and high cleanliness standards. These facilities are finalists for the 2025 America’s Best Restroom® award.
The POSH City Club is also expanding its luxury public restroom services, starting with a location in Midtown. The aim is to cover all major city "focal points" with facilities offering secure storage, lounges, touchless toilets cleaned after every use, and personal showers.
In summary, the new restrooms in Pushkin Park represent a step towards better public facilities. The city is following in the footsteps of other cities like New York, where public restrooms are being modernized to offer touchless toilets, showers, secure storage, lounges, and high cleanliness standards. The Directorate's commitment to regular maintenance and cleaning protocols ensures a pleasant experience for all park visitors.
Enhancing the lifestyle amenities in the city, plans are underway to modernize public restrooms not only in Pushkin Park but also in other parks and squares. Furthermore, these renovations will extend to homes-and-garden areas, as the POSH City Club expands its luxury public restroom services by including facilities with secure storage, lounges, touchless toilets, personal showers, and high cleanliness standards.
