Community set to gather for a barbecue in celebration of Highlander Trail's official opening
The Sheridan Community Land Trust (SCLT) is hosting a free community event on Eventbrite to mark the official opening of the Toyota Highlander Trail, a new trail suitable for hikers and bikers, at the Aspen Trailhead at Red Grade Trails. The Toyota Highlander Trail, which connects the Aspen Trailhead to the Little Bear Loop, is opening just in time for fall colors. This new trail offers another way for residents and visitors to enjoy the beautiful mountains of the region. The event, taking place on Sunday, Sept. 28, is a community barbecue. Burgers and beverages will be provided, and organisers ask attendees to bring sturdy shoes, a bike, and their sense of adventure. The SCLT would like to thank Wyoming Pathways for their support in creating the Toyota Highlander Trail. Although the exact nature of Wyoming Pathways is not clear, the SCLT's focus on land conservation, trails, and community activities in Sheridan County suggests that Wyoming Pathways may be involved in local conservation and trail efforts. The celebration is free for all residents, and no additional cost is required to attend the event. The Aspen Trailhead at Red Grade Trails provides the perfect backdrop for this exciting occasion. The Toyota Highlander Trail is expected to last for years, providing a lasting addition to the local trails for hikers and bikers to enjoy. So, mark your calendars for Sunday, Sept. 28, and join the community in celebrating the official opening of the Highlander Trail.
