Mayor Martin Ansbacher recently concluded his summer tour themed "Strengthening Solidarity - Ulm Lives Diversity." The tour, which showcased networking and civic engagement, concluded at the Radgassen Café in Ulm's city center.

Throughout the tour, Mayor Ansbacher visited clubs, facilities, and meeting points that actively promote inclusion, social cohesion, and volunteering. He was particularly impressed by the diversity of initiatives, the warmth of the encounters, and the many good conversations at the various appointments.

The Radgassen Café hosted various organizations during the final stop of the summer tour, including ADFC Ulm, the Refugee Council, Kulturloge, ZEBRA e.V., and "engagiert in unsere website." The holiday program at Ruhetal, one of the largest and oldest in the country, celebrated its 75th anniversary last year and connects generations.

The summer tour was a platform for Mayor Ansbacher to express his gratitude for the work of active volunteers in Ulm. He took every opportunity to engage in conversation, learn about projects, and challenges, and express his gratitude for their valuable work. Many former participants of the Ruhetal holiday program are now actively involved as volunteers.

Our institution, the central Bürgeragentur, supports volunteering through meeting points, advice, networking, financial aid, and project promotion. The citizen foundation offers benefits and recognition to engaged citizens through the volunteer and honorary citizen card. Our institution acknowledges and financially supports engagement through awards, patronage, and regular subsidies.

According to Mayor Martin Ansbacher, places like neighborhood cafés, holiday programs, and open meeting formats are indispensable for social cohesion in Ulm. He believes that volunteering is attractive, convincing, and leads to further engagement.

The tour visited the Canapé Café in the Weststadt, the Café Blau in the Dichterviertel, and the children's holiday recreation around the Freizeitheim Ruhetal. Mayor Ansbacher plans to continue the summer tour next year, aiming to further strengthen solidarity and diversity in Ulm. He expressed his gratitude for the valuable work of active members he met during his tour.
