Discourse in Dublin: Sharing Thoughts on Sustainable Expansion for the City

In the heart of Dublin, on Thursday, 24th September, a significant event is set to take place at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. The event, titled "Exploring Sustainable Growth, Policy, and Design Innovation in Irish Cities", is organised by Architecture Today magazine in association with Schuco.

This conference promises to be a compelling gathering of architects, developers, clients, contractors, and city leaders, all coming together to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Irish cities. The event offers an opportunity to gain insights into policies, strategies, and visions affecting construction and development on the island of Ireland.

A carefully selected audience of around 60 professionals and stakeholders is invited to participate in the event. The esteemed panelists include Dr Carole Pollard, Co-editor of Irish Cities in Crisis; Stephen O'Malley, Founding Director & Chief Executive of CIVIC; John Tuomey, Founding Director of O'Donnell + Tuomey Architects; Conor Sreenan, State Architect and Principal Architect of Office of Public Works; Andrew Clancy, Founding Director of Clancy Moore Architects; Tony Reddy, Founder of Reddy Architecture + Urbanism and the Academy of Urbanism; and Ali Grehan, Chair of the Irish Green Building Council.

In addition to the panel discussions, the event will feature presentations on influential projects, visits to specific buildings and master-planning projects, and case studies to learn lessons from them. The day will begin with a breakfast reception, followed by presentations, lunch, project tours, and an evening drinks reception.

Louise Cotter, Founding Director of Cotter & Naessens Architects, is also confirmed as a speaker. This event provides a platform for networking with fellow professionals and stakeholders involved in shaping the future of Irish cities.

Attendees are asked to RSVP and register their place as soon as possible, as places are limited. This invite is not transferable, and questions or requests to propose a colleague to attend in one's place should be directed to Jonathan.s@our website.uk.
