Dusseldorf sees Dr. Reinhold Hahlhege taking over as the new Head of Jonges

In a significant turn of events, the Jonges held their annual meeting on Tuesday, April 29, where the election of a new board was the main focus. The meeting was attended by a large number of members, who gathered to bid farewell to long-standing leader Wolfgang Rolshoven, who did not run for re-election.

Rolshoven's departure was marked by a heartfelt applause from everyone in the hall, as he has been a pivotal figure in the organisation for many years. As a gesture of appreciation, the table leaders presented him with a miniature of the Köbes monument as a farewell gift.

Two candidates, Dr. Reinhold Hahlhege and Norbert Knuth, had initially announced their candidacy for the leadership position. However, Knuth unexpectedly withdrew from the race, leaving Hahlhege and Hans-Jürgen Tüllmann as the remaining contenders. The voting for the new leader was conducted using an electronic system, with Hahlhege receiving 357 votes (57.49%) and Tüllmann receiving 264 votes (42.51%).

Dr. Reinhold Hahlhege, who previously held the position of vice-chairman, was elected as the new leader. Tüllmann, however, was not available for deputy positions. The election of the rest of the board took place without Tüllmann, with Maximilian Schönauer, Jan Hallen, Ilmhart Kühn, and Ralf Wagner completing the new board. Timo Greinert was elected as the first deputy, and David Mondt was elected as the second deputy.

The new leadership team is now tasked with steering the Jonges forward, building on the foundation laid by Rolshoven and continuing the organisation's mission. The Jonges, while not in the spotlight as much, is an important player in its field, and the election of this new board marks an exciting new chapter in its history.

The new board, consisting of Maximilian Schönauer, Jan Hallen, Ilmhart Kühn, Ralf Wagner, Timo Greinert as the first deputy, and David Mondt as the second deputy, will focus on steering the Jonges forward, building on the lifestyle and fashion-and-beauty initiatives established by Rolshoven. The home-and-garden sector, a significant aspect of the Jonges' mission, will continue to thrive under the new leadership.
