The 15th edition of the SWK Open Air Cinema is currently underway in Krefeld, Germany, and despite the less-than-ideal weather, the atmosphere remains excellent. Visitors are flocking to the beer garden and the tribune, showing great enthusiasm for the outdoor film screenings.

Organized by Uwe Papenroth and Volko Herdick, the event features a diverse program of feature films, a short film festival called "A Storyline," and special events such as sing-along evenings with local personalities. This year, Frau Höpker is hosting a sing-along evening on August 23rd, promising a relaxed and lively event reminiscent of the Krefeld Christmas singing, but with a different music program.

The food concept in the beer garden opens every evening at 7 PM (6 PM for "Ladies Night"), and visitors can enjoy it without an entrance ticket. The sing-along evening with Frau Höpker is a seated and standing concert, with no claim to a seat. Tickets for this event have already sold out 750 units.

The short film festival "A Storyline" is taking place in cooperation with Krefeld's city marketing. The winning film will receive one of four cash prizes, sponsored by the city of Krefeld (2,000 euros), vertäll - The magazine for and about Krefeld (1,500 euros), the SWK Open Air Cinema (1,000 euros), and SWK for the special prize for young filmmakers (500 euros).

Uwe Papenroth, expressing satisfaction with the evolution of the SWK Open Air Cinema concept over the years, noted that by the halfway point of the cinematic outdoor fun, around 25 percent more tickets have been sold than last year. Many of the remaining films are already sold out or have only a few tickets left.

For those interested, the trailer for the "A Storyline" short film festival can be found online. Ticket information for the SWK Open Air Cinema and the sing-along evening with Frau Höpker can be found on the event's official website or at local outlets.

What about experiencing a different form of lifestyle by attending the sing-along evening with Frau Höpker, an outdoor-living event integrated into the home-and-garden setting of the SWK Open Air Cinema? The event, held in Krefeld, Germany, offers a diverse program that includes films, a short film festival, and unique experiences like the sing-along evening hosted by Frau Höpker on August 23rd.
