Audi, the renowned automobile manufacturer, has teamed up with Vertagear to launch a limited-edition line of gaming chairs. This collaboration aims to blur the line between sim racing and serious desk work, offering a premium indulgence for those who take posture as seriously as performance.
The Audi x Vertagear line features three distinct models: the SL3800 Audi Edition, the SL5800 RS Edition, and the PL4800 Audi Sport Edition. Each chair comes with a 10-year limited warranty and free delivery (in the US) for all chairs in the line.
The SL3800 Audi Edition, built around a steel frame, padded with high-density foam, and upholstered in synthetic leather, supports users up to 183cm and 113kg. It includes Vertagear's patented CounterMax lumbar system and a supportive neck pillow, ensuring comfort during long hours of online games.
The SL5800 RS Edition, with a net weight of 28.4kg, supports users up to 193cm and 118kg. It features an odour-controlling textile called HygennX, infused with coffee ground nanotech, for added hygiene and comfort.
The star of the show is the PL4800 Audi Sport Edition. With beefier dimensions and a net weight of 28.8kg, it caters to taller users, supporting those up to 198cm and 163kg. It is upholstered in NuSuede, a performance microsuede, and features bold Audi Sport branding. Additionally, it offers extra seat adjustments for bigger frames.
The VertaAir Seat System, found in the Audi Edition chairs, provides air-cushioned ventilation for cooling during long hours of free games, ensuring that gamers can stay focused and comfortable.
All three chairs in the Audi x Vertagear line are available for pre-order now, with shipping scheduled for July 15. The chairs are priced between US$499.99 and $699.99 (around NZ$820 to $1150).
