Hey there! Here's some exciting news for our friends in Omsk, Russia. Starting from Thursday, May 7, 2025, a new boat service is set to sail between the city's heart, the "Centre," and the scenic "Green Bank." This commencement marks another exciting step in the region's transportation network. 🚢
The Ministry of Transport in Omsk Oblast announced on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, that this boat service will run thrice a week - on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The approximate journey time is about 2 hours and 50 minutes one way and 2 hours and 30 minutes on the return trip.
Trips along the "Centre - Green Bank" route will depart from the "Centre" stop at 08:10 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and from the "Green Bank" stop at 11:10 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The maximum fare is set at 100 rubles, the transport authority revealed.
Notably, the fare hike amounts to 24 rubles. In 2024, the same journey cost 76 rubles, while child and concessionary tickets were priced at 38 rubles. Alcohol consumption and carrying transit vehicles remain prohibited on board, as per dry laws.
In celebration of the Victory Day commemorations on May 9, 2025, the sailing schedules have been adjusted to May 8, maintaining the same timetable. Post May 11, the service will revert to its regular schedule.
We also remind you that from May 6, 2025, a tourist tour in Bolsherechie and pleasure boat cruises along the Irtysh River have started operating in Omsk. 🌊
