Festivities in Friedrichstadt Neighbourhood, Düsseldorf, centered around the theme "Our Community - For Our Community"
Friedrichstadt Neighborhood Festival: A Day of Celebration and Community
On July 5th, 2025, the vibrant Friedrichstadt neighborhood in Berlin will come alive with the Friedrichstadt Neighborhood Festival. The event will take place from 12 noon to 5 pm, with activities scattered across three locations: the church square, an unspecified location, and another location yet to be revealed.
At the heart of the festivities will be the church square, where the day will begin at midday with various social and sustainable civic initiatives presenting their information stands. Open market stalls will provide refreshments, and a neighborhood cleanup will start from 2 pm.
One of the highlights of the festival will be the performance of the Samba-Percussion group, who will entertain crowds at all three locations. The festival will also feature a variety of interactive activities, games, music, and information stands.
The festival will provide a second chance for small electrical devices at the Repair Café, while children from 4 to 12 years old will be invited to join the Pfadfinderstamm 23 of the Royal Rangers, who will set up their tent near the church square.
For art enthusiasts, an exhibition in the rooms of the Rheinkirche will round off the program. Meanwhile, Catella will provide information about their long-term construction site KoTower, and the engineering office Lindschulte will offer updates on the construction site situation at the church square.
As the festival progresses, activities will continue in front of the Rheinkirche on Luisenstraße 40-55, with a long coffee table in the middle of the closed street and neighbors invited to extend the common table by placing their tables and chairs in front of their doors.
The DRK center plus at Jahnstraße 47 will offer drinks and snacks, a Kamishibai storytelling theater, a performance art piece, a guided tour through the interactive garden, Viking chess, and various children’s games from 1:30 to 3:30 pm in the garden.
For those who prefer a more active approach, bike rides will be offered for interested parties and/or mobility-impaired individuals in the surrounding area or between the locations.
The Kulturliste and "Hallo Nachbar" will also be present, adding to the festive atmosphere. The festival promises to be a day of celebration, community, and fun for all ages.
For those seeking a detailed hourly schedule or locations of activities, we recommend visiting the official Friedrichstadt Neighborhood Festival site or local Berlin event calendars closer to the event date.
At the church square, a part of the festival will include an exhibition for art enthusiasts, while children aged 4 to 12 can engage in interactive activities organized by the Pfadfinderstamm 23 of the Royal Rangers, making the event a home-and-garden fusion inside the urban landscape of Friedrichstadt. Additionally, the lifestyle aspect of the festival will be highlighted with the performance of the Samba-Percussion group at various locations throughout the day.
