Gardening Tip: Discover Five Blooms That Invite Pollinating Insects to Your Yard in Spring

In his latest article dated January 15, 2020, gardening enthusiast Greg Seaman shares his latest garden project, a thriving eco-friendly haven.

At the heart of the garden is a 10-foot long, 4-foot wide, and 2-foot deep Farmstead Raised Garden Bed, made of durable cedar wood. This raised bed serves as the perfect growing space for a variety of vegetables, including tomatoes, peppers, and lettuce. To ensure optimal growth, the soil in the bed is amended with Corn Gluten Organic Fertilizer 8-0-0 - 40 lbs.

To attract pollinators and support local bee populations, Seaman has planted a Butterfly Scatter Garden near the Farmstead Raised Garden Bed. He has also placed a Wooden Solitary Bee House and a Wooden Butterfly House near the garden to provide habitats for these beneficial insects.

Seaman has taken water efficiency seriously in his garden design. He has installed a drip irrigation system in the Farmstead Raised Garden Bed using a Premium Drinking Water Safe Garden Hose and a Premium Polyurethane Soaker Hose.

To create a pathway around the garden, Seaman has used Wildflower Farms Eco-Lawn Grass Seed - 50 lb. To provide a natural ground cover and promote nitrogen fixation, he has also planted Microclover Seed 1 lb on the pathway.

For those looking to expand their gardening space, Seaman recommends the VegTrug Raised Garden Planter in natural wood. He also features a Maine Garden Hod in his article, which is perfect for carrying gardening tools.

In addition to the Farmstead Raised Garden Bed, Seaman has also incorporated a 4x4 Natural Cedar Raised Garden Bed into his garden design. This bed provides an ideal space for growing a variety of plants.

Seaman's garden is a testament to his commitment to eco-friendly gardening practices. His use of organic fertilizers, water-efficient irrigation systems, and native plants creates a garden that not only thrives but also benefits local wildlife and the environment.

Adopting sustainable living in his home-and-garden, Greg Seaman's lifestyle includes the cultivation of a thriving garden that serves as a refuge for bees and other pollinators. By incorporating raised beds made of durable cedar wood, such as the VegTrug Raised Garden Planter and the 4x4 Natural Cedar Raised Garden Bed, he promotes eco-friendly gardening with a variety of plants and vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, and lettuce.
