The Pop Art Era Senior Graphic Design Show, scheduled for April 16, 2025, at the VIP Special Event Space in Parkville (160 S. Main St.), promises to be a vibrant celebration of the intersection of art and popular culture. The event will feature the innovative work of Park University's senior graphic design students, showcasing their passion and talent as they pay homage to the pop art movement.

While the specific names of the participating student artists have not been publicly disclosed, several senior graphic design students from the Kansas City and Independence areas have been identified. Kylie Hawkins from Grain Valley, Mo., attended Grain Valley High School, while Kenzy Barnett hails from Independence, Mo., and was a student at Truman High School. Natalia Loubriel is a senior graphic design student from Kansas City, Kan., who attended Sumner Academy of Arts and Science. Brock Beashore, a senior graphic design student from Kansas City, Kan., attended Piper High School, and Kori Rusley, a senior graphic design student from Kansas City, Mo., attended Liberty North High School. Korbin Harris, a senior graphic design student from Smithville, Mo., attended Smithville High School, and Rachel Nash, a senior graphic design student from Kearney, Mo., attended Kearney High School.

Though Tarrah Wiehoff, another senior graphic design student connected to Park University, has been recognised for achievements outside the show, it is unclear if she will also participate in the Pop Art Era Senior Graphic Design Show.

The exhibit aims to demonstrate the transformative power of graphic design through a modern lens, featuring a diverse range of projects from digital illustrations to printed materials. The pop art era, a significant and influential period in the history of art and design, continues to inspire new generations of artists and designers, and this showcase is no exception.

Admission to the event is free and open to the public, making it an opportunity for everyone to appreciate the creativity and innovation of these talented students. The Senior Graphic Design Show at Park University will take place on May 9, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m. For detailed names and further information, contacting Park University’s Art and Design department directly may provide the most accurate and comprehensive information.

Kylie Hawkins and Natalia Loubriel, both senior graphic design students, maintain a lifestyle immersed in art, as they honed their skills at Grain Valley High School and Sumner Academy of Arts and Science, respectively. Additionally, the home-and-garden magazines might be interested in Brock Beashore's and Korbin Harris's projects, as they explored print design alongside their studies at Piper High School and Smithville High School, respectively.
