High School Students Given Invitation for #DesignDrive, Chrysler's Vehicle of the Future
The Stellantis Drive for Design 2025 competition, now in its 13th year, has returned with a call to U.S. high school students to conceptualize and sketch their vision for a future Chrysler vehicle. This annual event, initiated by Mark Trostle, senior vice president of design for Ram Truck and Mopar, offers an exciting opportunity for young talent to showcase their creativity and passion for automotive design.
The competition, which began accepting entries in mid-March 2025, culminates in the selection of three winners: one grand-prize winner and two finalists. The panel of Stellantis designers will review the submissions, with the grand-prize winner being awarded an Apple iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, in addition to other unique opportunities.
One such opportunity is the virtual networking opportunity with the Stellantis design team, which allows winners to gain valuable insights and connections within the industry. Moreover, the grand-prize winner will also be featured on Stellantis North America's social media channels, providing further exposure for their designs.
Notable alumni of the Drive for Design contest include Rohan Seiber and Ben Treinen, who have gone on to secure internships and full-time positions within the Stellantis design team. Ryan Panizzoli, the grand-prize winner of the 2025 contest, was recognised for his creative automotive sketches and was featured sketching designs during the summer at Stellantis.
In addition to the grand-prize, the second- and third-place winners will also receive scholarships to the College for Creative Studies' three-week Precollege Summer Experience in Transportation Design in Detroit. This scholarship offers a unique opportunity for winners to further their education and gain hands-on experience in the field of automotive design.
The Chrysler brand, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025, is looking to young creatives to help envision its future. By participating in the Drive for Design contest, high school students across the United States have the chance to ignite a passion for automotive design in the next generation.
The contest is more than just sketching; it's about showing the incredible career paths that exist in automotive design. Past winners have demonstrated that the Drive for Design contest can be a stepping stone to a successful career within the automotive industry.
Entries for the Stellantis Drive for Design 2025 contest must be submitted by midnight EDT on April 25, 2025. For more information about the contest, including official rules and submission guidelines, visit StellantisDriveForDesign.com.
