Super Mario Party Jamboree has received an upgrade with the release of the Switch 2 Edition, offering a more technologically advanced and varied Mario Party experience.

The new edition, titled Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV, brings several new gameplay elements and improvements, leveraging the capabilities of the Switch 2 hardware.

Two new game modes, housed within a new "Jamboree TV" section, add fresh gameplay variety beyond the traditional Mario Party board game experience. The Carnival Coaster mode is a cooperative rail shooter where players shoot enemies while traveling along a track interspersed with minigame challenges. Jamboree, on the other hand, replaces traditional board game play with co-operative play and self-defence tactics.

The Switch 2 version also introduces camera support, similar to the Eye-Toy, with mini-games using the Switch 2’s improved camera system. Players can set up their cameras, which display pixelated live feeds of their faces linked to their in-game avatars. Camera controls add interactive elements within some mini-games.

Additionally, the game features mouse-controlled mini-games that utilize new input methods available on Switch 2, providing faster-paced and more precise gameplay options. The game supports a higher resolution display: 1440p when docked and 1080p in portable mode, improving graphical fidelity over the original Switch version.

Super Mario Party Jamboree Switch 2 Edition also includes an impressive 20 new mini-games that incorporate the new controls and hardware features, expanding the already robust mini-game roster of the original Super Mario Party Jamboree.

For those who own the original Switch game, an upgrade pack is available at £16.99 / $19.99 / AU$30. For those who don't own the original game, the Switch 2 Edition costs £64.95 / $79.99 / AU$109.95. It's worth noting that while the camera feature’s quality can vary depending on room conditions, the game does not require the Switch 2 camera to play. Visual prompt games in Jamboree TV will be replaced by microphone-controlled ones without the camera.

The Switch 2 version of Super Mario Party Jamboree remains as fun as ever for multiplayer during the summertime, featuring a variety of zany minigames. With its release expected to be a new title on the shelves for the Christmas holidays, Super Mario Party Jamboree Switch 2 Edition is considered highly in every regard by Nintendo.

Despite the appeal of Donkey Kong: Bananza, the timing of the release of Super Mario Party Jamboree's Switch 2 version may not be ideal. However, the game's variety of minigames based on sound or visual input, along with some minigames utilizing the Switch 2's new mouse-like control mechanic, make it a strong contender for players' attention.

In summary, Super Mario Party Jamboree Switch 2 Edition builds on the original with higher-resolution graphics, new camera and mouse controls, fresh mini-games, and new modes like Jamboree TV and Carnival Coaster, offering a more technologically immersive and varied Mario Party experience optimized for Switch 2.

The Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV offers a variety in entertainment, featuring new game modes like Carnival Cooster and Jamboree, which add a fresh twist to the traditional Mario Party experience. Gadgets and technology are at the forefront of this upgrade, with the addition of camera support similar to the Eye-Toy and mouse-controlled mini-games, offering a more interactive gaming experience. Beyond home-and-garden makeovers, this lifestyle update promises a more technologically advanced and varied Mario Party experience, making it a strong contender for gamers' attention during the holiday season.
