Inclusion Bike Tour 2018 Concludes: 3000km Journey Breaks Barriers

Karl Grandt, an inclusion ambassador, has been cycling since mid-August, covering approximately 3000 kilometers. His journey aims to break down prejudices and foster connections between people with and without disabilities. The tour, organized by the non-profit Health Media, ended recently in Flensburg.

The tour began in Nordhorn, with Mayor Thomas Berling and County Commissioner Friedrich Kethorn starting the event at the Schweinemarkt. Around 30 participants cycled to Wietmarschen on September 22, 2018, despite bad weather. The event was held under the motto 'Inclusion needs action', highlighting the needs of people with disabilities.

Karl Grandt and Hans-Peter Durst, inclusion ambassadors, continued their tour towards Lingen and Dörpen. The tour ended at the Stiftscafé Menke, where participants grilled despite the autumn weather. Wolfgang Stöber from Nordhorn's disability council and Lambertus Arends from ADFC organized the event with the support of the city of Nordhorn, the county of Grafschaft Bentheim, and numerous other sponsors.

The 'Inclusion Bike Tour 2018' has successfully concluded, traveling across Germany to promote inclusion and create new partnerships. Despite challenges like bad weather, participants showed dedication to the cause, grilling together at the end of the tour.
