Interrogative Discourse with Céline Poulin

Céline Poulin, a renowned French curator, is spearheading an intriguing project titled "In Extenso" in Berlin. This initiative, developed by the Bureau des arts plastiques of the Institut Français and the Deutsches Architektur Zentrum, aims to promote artistic creation, foster cultural exchange, and support emerging artists.

The project invites artists, thinkers, and Berliners to join the discussion, which will take place at DAZ, Koepenicker Str 48/49, U-Bhf Heinrich-Heine Str., on Thursday, November 27. The workshop is part of a broader initiative focusing on the intersection of art and architecture in public spaces.

The primary focus of In Extenso is addressing the challenge of managing public messages in public spaces, particularly those containing fear and hate, such as racism. The project also aims to discuss the impact of public art on architecture and vice versa. Céline Poulin will prepare an exhibition from the outcomes of the workshop, showcasing the creative ideas generated during the event.

The workshop will commence with two talks, followed by a collaborative session where participants can share their notions of public space. The project encourages participants to consider and discuss the future of Berlin's public spaces, particularly in relation to art and architecture.

In Extenso also explores the question of language in public spaces, with a focus on graffiti and street art. Berlin, with its numerous free spaces and ongoing construction, offers a unique platform for this discussion. The project aims to share issues related to the future of Berlin's free spaces with Berliners.

Céline Poulin's project, In Extenso, is a thought-provoking exploration of the intersection of art and architecture in public spaces. It promises to be an engaging event for all who are passionate about art, architecture, and the future of public spaces.
