Istanbul's tales unfold through Cemal Toy's latest display

The "Tek ve Çok" exhibition, curated by Ayşegül Ekin Odabaşı, is now open at the Fatih Municipality Nusret Çolpan Art Gallery in Ayvansaray, Istanbul. The exhibition runs from Sept. 19 to Oct. 3 and is an initiative of Birlikte Sanat (Art Together) supported by Fatih Municipality. The exhibition showcases a diverse range of art forms, including watercolor, oil painting, mixed media, photography, charcoal, and fabric art. Each artist's work in the exhibition represents their personal encounters with Istanbul, creating a nuanced cultural experience for viewers. The pieces in the exhibition respond to Istanbul's physical and cultural landmarks through diverse materials and visual languages. Some artworks focus on the interplay of light and architecture, while others trace textures, transitions, and the rhythms of daily life and memory. The exhibition does not repeat earlier themes or concepts presented in "Tek ve Çok". Instead, it creates an invisible architecture that balances material and technical variety with coherence. Individual styles in the exhibition interact dynamically, inviting viewers into a unique and engaging cultural experience. The concept of "Tek" in the exhibition represents each artist's unique perspective and style. On the other hand, "Çok" represents the shared ground and multiplying meanings that emerge when distinct voices come together. The ethos of the exhibition is learning, sharing, and continuity. The "Tek ve Çok" exhibition encourages close engagement from viewers, inviting them to explore Istanbul's layered cultural identity through a dialogue between individual expression and collective creation. The exhibition is located in Ayvansaray, which is part of Istanbul's old city. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of Istanbul through the eyes of its artists. The "Tek ve Çok" exhibition is being presented by Cemal Toy Atölye at the Fatih Municipality Nusret Çolpan Art Gallery.
