Jakobidult resumes activities in Munich
The much-anticipated Jakobidult at Mariahilfplatz is set to return to Munich this July, marking its status as the city's oldest Dult. From July 26 to August 3, 2025, Mariahilfplatz will transform into a bustling marketplace, offering a unique blend of tradition and modernity.
The Jakobidult is renowned for its diverse range of goods on sale, including ceramics, kitchenware, books, jewelry, antique furniture, and a local specialty - white sausage terrine. Food stands will also offer a variety of traditional German delicacies such as sausage rolls, Flammkuchen, and roasted almonds.
For those seeking entertainment, the Jakobidult offers a plethora of attractions. A two-hour guided tour of the Dult is available, providing an opportunity to chat with vendors and sample treats at six different stands. For children, there are amusement rides such as the carousel, Ferris wheel, and ship swing.
The event also features a family day on July 29, offering discounted prices for the amusement rides. A magic show with three magicians is scheduled for August 3, but only if the weather permits.
