Krasnodar's Botanical Garden Temporarily Closes for Sanitation Under Urban Revitalization Project

Krasnodar's urban landscape is undergoing significant changes with the national 'Housing and Urban Environment' project. This week, the I.S. Kosенко Botanical Garden will temporarily close for sanitation work.

The project has seen the transformation of 13 national parks and boulevards, covering a total area of 36 hectares. Meanwhile, the I.S. Kosенко Botanical Garden in Krasnodar will be closed on Friday, October 3 for essential sanitation work. The specific person or team responsible for these tasks remains unclear, as such details are often not publicly available or require direct contact with the institution.

In Sochi, the Russian-Japanese Friendship Garden is also receiving attention. With a budget of 15 million rubles, improvement work is underway and expected to be completed by the end of the year. Looking back, over the past five years, Krasnodar has seen the improvement of 57 national parks and botanical gardens. Notably, 44 of these projects were funded by local budgets and extra-budgetary sources.
