Local Government Guidelines

In the heart of our online community, comments play a vital role in enriching discussions and bringing new perspectives. Each comment contributes to the overall quality and tone of the conversation. To ensure that our community remains a space for respectful and constructive discussions, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Respect the Rules of Engagement: Familiarise yourself with the specific rules provided by our website or community. These rules often emphasise respectful communication, staying on-topic, avoiding offensive language, and not sharing sensitive personal information.
  2. Contribute Actively but Thoughtfully: Add value to the discussion rather than creating conflict. Be mindful of content sensitivity to others and ensure your comments promote a safe, welcoming environment.
  3. Use Clear, Polite Language: Avoid personal attacks or inflammatory remarks. Communicate in a manner that is considerate and respectful.

In case of violations of these guidelines, the community moderators may take the following actions:

  • Remove violating posts or comments that breach the rules.
  • Temporarily suspend accounts for rule violations, and repeated offenses could lead to permanent suspension from the community.
  • Users can report abusive or inappropriate content, which moderators will review and take appropriate actions without necessarily notifying the reporter about the outcome.

These measures help maintain a constructive and respectful discussion space for everyone involved.

It's important to note that comments may be removed at the discretion of the moderators due to violations of guidelines or high volume. We also encourage you to keep your comments brief (maximum 1,200 characters) and communicate clearly and unambiguously.

The comment section is designed for open and free exchange of opinions. However, we remove copyright infringements, advertising, petitions, spam comments, links to content containing violence, and anything else that is illegal. The comment section may be closed after a certain period to facilitate further discussions.

We encourage contributions to the comment section to be constructive and respectful. Remain respectful and factual when discussing sensitive topics. We do not provide a platform for conspiracy theories or misinformation.

Personal attacks, insults, defamation, slander, discriminatory remarks, hate speech, trolling, and provocations are not tolerated and will result in comment removal or profile blocking. Irony and sarcasm may not be clear to everyone, so avoid using them.

The rules apply to everyone, and violations may result in limited comments or profile blocking without warning or explanation. Cite quotes, do not post uncommented links.

We do not tolerate racism, anti-Semitism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or other forms of discrimination. Comments should stay on topic and back up claims to maintain clear conversations.

In summary, carefully review and comply with each website’s community guidelines, communicate respectfully, and be aware that moderators may remove posts or suspend accounts to enforce these rules. Let's make our community a welcoming and productive space for everyone!

  1. Engaging in home-and-garden discussions, remember to communicate respectfully, adhere to the guidelines, and promote a safe, welcoming environment for all participants, just like you would in any other lifestyle-oriented conversation.
  2. While sharing ideas on the online community, ensure your home-and-garden comments are informative, beneficial, and constructive, fostering positive engagement and a lively exchange of perspectives.
