In the heart of Southern California, the city of Cerritos and its nearby towns are gearing up for a summer filled with family-friendly activities, concerts, and celebrations. Here's a roundup of some of the exciting events taking place in July and August 2025:

Cerritos' Family Entertainment Showcase, running from July 8 to August 7, 2025, will bring a variety of events for people of all ages each Tuesday and Thursday night. The Concerts Under the Stars series during this showcase will take place at the Heritage Park Island Stage on Thursdays.

Residents are invited to share their favourite words of wisdom from their father, grandfather, or father figure on Cerritos Towne Center's Instagram page as part of a special initiative.

For those who love a good book, the Friends of the Cerritos Library will hold a one-day book sale on May 4, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Cerritos Library. The sale will feature a great selection of fiction and nonfiction books in English.

The City of Cerritos is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of its Summer Reading Program on June 21, 2025. This special event will include special programs for all ages, generously supported by Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn and the Friends of the Cerritos Library.

Meanwhile, the 52nd annual Let Freedom Ring Celebration will take place at the Cerritos Civic Center on July 4, 2025. The celebration will include musical entertainment, food trucks, game booths, rides, and a fireworks show at 9 p.m.
