"New Theme Unveiled for Utting's Maze: 'Ex Ornamentis'"
The Ammersee Labyrinth, a beloved attraction in the picturesque town of Utting, Germany, has reopened its doors to visitors, inviting everyone to navigate through its intricate paths made of hay bales. This year marks the 26th anniversary of the labyrinth, a creation of farmers Corinne and Uli Ernst.
The labyrinth, open until the end of September 2021, is designed for both young and old to enjoy. It is filled with a variety of plants, including sunflowers, hemp, corn, wild mallow, decorative pumpkins, beans, wild grape, and hops. The labyrinth takes approximately one hour to walk through, depending on one's pace.
Visitors can expect to pay €7.00 for adults, €6.50 for youth (ages 12-17), and €6.00 for children (ages 5-11). Children under 4 years old are free when accompanied by family members. Disabled individuals, Uttinger residents, and groups of 15 or more pay €0.50 less per person.
The labyrinth also features a unique European map, with a large dove as a symbol of unity and hope. During the summer holidays, the labyrinth is open daily from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. After the summer holidays, it is open from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am to 6:30 pm on weekends.
