In the role of a parent, buying ever-growing children's clothes can be costly. However, shoppers have been praising their finds at George at Asda.

Parents are rushing to Asda to buy kids' summer clothes at low prices, less than £2, ideal for dressing children for the upcoming summer season.

Parents looking to save on children's clothing may find solace in the latest offerings from George at Asda. The supermarket chain's clothing line has seen a significant drop in prices, with numerous items now available for just £1.50 as part of an ongoing sale.

One savvy shopper shared her haul on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, showing off a selection of discounted clothes she found through the George app. Among her finds were gamer-themed boys pyjamas priced at £1.50, specifically designed for ages seven to eight. She also purchased a five-pack of cotton socks for £2 and a pair of Pokemon-themed socks for £2.50.

Other shoppers have reported stocking up on clothing for their children's summer wardrobes, with one mother taking home a £1.50 girls T-shirt, a two-pack of long-sleeve tops for £3, and some £4 swim shorts. She also bought a £2 tennis-themed pink sweatshirt and a £2 mint green sweatshirt that reads 'Happy Moments.'

A third shopper noted that they had purchased items for their grandchildren, demonstrating the appeal of the discounted clothing for families.

It is worth noting that those who prefer to shop in-store can save on delivery fees by having their purchases sent to an Asda store, waiving the usual £4 shipping fee.

Asda recently launched its first-ever stand-alone George store in Leeds, taking over the old Asda Living location at Crown Point Retail Park. This experiment in brick-and-mortar retailing could potentially be rolled out across the UK if it proves successful. The store features fashionable clothing, homeware, children's toys, and a new cafe.

The George label was first introduced in 1989 as a collaboration between Asda and fashion guru George Davies. Today, it is available in 560 stores and pulls in over 260 million visits to George.com each year. The clothing line generated £1.5 million for Asda in 2023, and 80% of Sainsbury's clothes sold at full price in that same year.

Supermarket fashion has seen a surge in popularity in recent years, with more shoppers choosing affordable, quality clothing options. Asda's clothing line George is amongst some of the most successful in the industry, offering a wide range of stylish products suitable for all ages and occasions.

Shoppers can find deals on home-and-garden items as well as clothing, including lifestyle choices, through the George app, similar to one user who showcased discounted gamer-themed boys pyjamas and Pokemon-themed socks. With the ongoing sale, some homeware and children's toys can also be purchased at reduced prices, as demonstrated by Asda's new standalone George store in Leeds, showcasing a wide variety of fashionable options for the whole family.
