Parliament Offers Guided Tours, Age 10+, ID Required
The Parliament building offers guided tours, open to persons aged ten and above, with specific ID requirements for young adults and children. A security measure, known as a Captcha, is used during registration to prevent automated form filling.
Tours include visits to the Historic Sitting Room, the Federal Council meeting hall, and the newly restored National Council meeting hall. Up to five accompanying persons can join, with children aged up to 14 not needing ID. Those aged 10 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Captcha code consists of numbers and/or letters, with upper and lower case not being important. It's a simple task that helps distinguish human users from bots, protecting the website from spam and abuse. Google's reCAPTCHA is a popular service that often just asks users to confirm 'I am not a robot'. Help texts and contact information are available if the Captcha input doesn't work.
The Parliament building tours provide an opportunity to learn about its history and architecture, including recent renovations. The Captcha system ensures the security and integrity of the registration process, allowing only genuine users to proceed.
