Participants at Seoul Lausanne Congress: A precise count of 5,394 individuals involved
The Fourth Lausanne Congress in Incheon-Seoul, held recently, was a global gathering that brought together delegates from an impressive 214 countries and territories. This international event, streamed to more than 1.6 million unique viewers, showcased an extensive reach both physically and digitally.
At the heart of the congress were numerous activities that engaged attendees and volunteers alike. Over 5,394 participants from 200 countries and territories took part in the onsite event, while approximately 2,000 people from over 100 countries joined the Virtual Experiencia (VX). The congress was well-documented, with around 2,500 minutes of Lausanne 4 sessions recorded, about 200 shoots in total. The Recordings were widely viewed, with over 30,000 unique viewers from 161 countries tuning in to the livestreams. The official Lausanne 4 sessions recordings and the 'State of Great Commission Report' were downloaded 6,000 and 750,000 times, respectively, over the last 18 months.
The event also saw a significant digital presence on Instagram, with post views totalling 1.5M and an increase of 12,000 users. The Brazilians had the most fun in the Virtual Lounge on spatial.io of the L4 congress, while Korean prayer warriors gathered in a nearby church numbering 6,888 people.
Over the course of the Congress, a total of 1,692 kWh was used to charge mobile devices, equivalent to powering about 56 homes for an entire day. Naps taken at the relaxation area of the convention centre totalled over 350.
Lastly, the event saw the collaboration of over 400 global teams, with more than 1,600 people in the Korean team alone. Over 500 emails were sent out in 7 languages, with a total of 750,000 emails sent over the last 18 months.
