However, with such a grand occasion comes some traffic restrictions to ensure the safety and smooth running of the event.

As for traffic restrictions, certain streets will be closed or have limited vehicle access. For instance, Oberstraße between Obertor and the Rhineland Theatre will be closed to traffic from May 27 to 29, during the day. Hammer Landstraße will be closed from May 24 at 7 PM to May 30 at around 12:30 AM, except for outside closure times when it can only be used as a one-way street by residents. Batteriestraße and Hessentordamm will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday from noon, and completely closed from Thursday to Saturday, and Sunday.

But fear not, for there are plenty of attractions to explore on foot. The Hansemarkt, featuring nearly 100 Hansestadt cities, is a highlight not to be missed. A harbor market with wine stands and culinary delights can be found at Harbor Basin 1, while a FairTrade market is in front of the RomaNEum. For the little ones, a "Hansekids" play area is available in the Green Park between Zolltor and the Old Post Office on Saturdays.

The event features concerts, performances, markets, and events. Music will be on the main stage in RennbahnPark, while the Zeitsprünge festival takes place on the green area behind the Clemens Sels Museum. A Hanse funfair with a Ferris wheel and fairground rides can be found on Hammer Landstraße and Wendersplatz.

HANSEartWORKS, an art project by actors from Hansestadt cities around the Kulturforum Alte Post, is another must-see attraction.
