Regensburg's Mayor Gertrude Maltz-Schwarzfischer launched an exceptional project, 'Hildegard's Ice Bee', this summer. The initiative, uniting partners from sports, gastronomy, and social facilities, brings free ice cream to nursing and care homes in the city.

The project, presented at the Armin-Wolf-Arena amidst summer temperatures and beach vibes, uses a distinctive Ape vehicle donated by the 'Hildegard Anke' action. The red Ape was chosen to match the city's colours and have a positive effect on seniors and people with dementia.

The Ice Gallery Regensburg generously donates high-quality, homemade ice cream for all visits to nursing and care homes during the summer months. Partners include Malteser Regensburg and several sports clubs, demonstrating the city's commitment to supporting its elderly residents.
