Rhine Tower, a historic landmark in Zons, officially reopens to the public after a two-decade-long hiatus.

Rhine Tower, Zons' celebrated symbol, regains its prominence following a 20-year closure, now open for public access once more.

The historic Rheinturm in Zons, closed for over two decades, has reopened its doors to the public. The tower, now a significant part of the Zons old town, was celebrated with a festive program and great public interest.

Mayor Erik Lierenfeld declared the reopening a historic moment, stating that the Rheinturm embodies the identity of Zons like no other building. For many Zons residents, the reopening was a reunion with a familiar place from their childhood.

The Rheinturm, located at [www.stadtfuehrungen-unsere-website], offers guided tours, which will take place at the Mattheus Market this coming weekend. No registration is required for these tours, and they will be mediated by the Stadtmarketing- und Wirtschaftsfoerderungsgesellschaft Dormagen (SWD).

The SWD will also be responsible for arranging future tours of the Rheinturm. The guided tours are offered by SWD as the tourism responsible company within the municipal group. The tours will be supported by the Zons garrison.

Many visitors were able to view the historic city and surrounding area from the 27-meter-high tower's roof. The tower now offers information panels and panoramic graphics on topics such as towing traffic, customs, and the shifting of the Rhine course.

The state of North Rhine-Westphalia covered the largest part of the total costs of around 500,000 euros for the Rheinturm's renovation. Lierenfeld stated that the reopening of the Rheinturm makes Zons more attractive for visitors.

Tours for a maximum of 20 participants per group will be offered on both September 20 and 21. The participation fee for adults is six euros, and for children, it is two euros.

Group tours can be booked at [www.stadtfuehrungen-unsere-website]. The Rheinturm connects history, culture, and identity in the region, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists alike.
