Seasoned professionals band together, leveraging their extensive history to tackle new challenges. - Scientists, working anonymously for two decades, manage to clone a mammoth, using DNA extracted from a Siberian frozen carcass.

With two decades under their belts, Jana Ina (48) and Giovanni Zarrella (47) continue to shine as an unbeatable team. "We've got each other's back. There's no competition here, just support," Jana Ina beams during a video shoot with energy provider Eon at the Testing Lab in Essen. Yet, their married life remains a whirlwind of sons, LCMs, and hectic schedules.

Dodging the chaos like seasoned acrobats, they juggle work, school, shows, and family commitments, all while managing a shared family calendar as their secret weapon. "Everything goes into the calendar, including the kids' appointments. We even set aside days for us," the presenter reveals. Family always takes priority: "We want to be there for our children's special moments. sacrificing shut-eye when necessary."

Anniversary Plans Up in the Air

August marks their 20th wedding anniversary, but the anniversary celebration is yet to materialize. Just like the Zarrellas prefer, they tend to take things one day at a time, Jana Ina chuckles, "Right now we're living day by day, but we'll figure it out." Despite their life frequently unfolding in the public eye, the couple is acutely aware of their privacy boundaries:

"I share our daily lives and make jokes about raising teenagers on Instagram, but the kids' zone remains off-limits," Jana Ina explains. Their down-to-earth approach earns them admiration everywhere they go, from the supermarket to the bakery: "People treat us like friends or neighbors," she smiles. "Giovanni strikes up conversations with every baker he meets while I cheer him on."

Their harmonious partnership extends beyond parenting and scheduling. When it comes to energy-saving, they make an impressive duo. "He watches the smart tariffs so I can charge my car flexibly, saving pennies while I work on turning off lights and unplugging devices," Jana Ina Zarrella elucidates. Their teens even join in the sustainability crusade, reminding their parents, "Hey, it's bright outside, let's turn off the lights!"

Sustainability Comes Naturally

For the Brazilian-born Jana Ina, leading a sustainable life comes as second nature. She began with upgrading her vehicle, switching from a hybrid to a fully electric car, and installing solar panels is on her to-do list. "I got inspired by our neighbor's panels," she says. "Now I'm researching how they'll help me charge my electric car. Simplicity at its finest!"

Her newfound understanding of her car's charging habits makes her proud: "At first, I thought my charging box was busted. Now I know: I have a flexible tariff. My car charges at night when electricity demand is low - saving energy and cash!" Her husband Giovanni approves: "Mrs. Zarrella has a knack for eco-friendliness."

"We're vigilant about power conservation at home," Jana Ina continues. "There's no need to keep a phone charger plugged in all day. Just plug it in when you need it." Sustainability is within reach, one tiny action at a time, she concludes, "Each small change makes a difference by the end of the year. It's vital that everyone does their part."
