Seeking Outstanding Concepts for the Local Community
Einsteinstadt invites citizens to contribute ideas for the local community through the sixth edition of the Citizens' Budget, set to launch next week. Until June 7, residents can submit proposals for projects that focus on enhancing play and movement facilities, environmental projects, or improvements in public spaces.
Mayor Thomas Steiner urges residents to take advantage of this opportunity, stating, "Submit your idea for your neighborhood and let's shape Einsteinstadt together." The city has already invested in over 25 projects since 2015, with initiatives ranging from the Motorik Park to bike racks, children's playgrounds, and a reptile wall.
The city relies on active co-creation by the populace, as part of the City Development Plan 2030. Each district receives €35,000 annually for community initiatives. Discussions about proposed projects occur at meetings in various locations, such as Martinshof in Kleinhoeflein on June 5, the council chamber on June 17, and the sports hall canteen in St. Georgen on June 24.
Since its inception, the Citizens' Budget has been instrumental in fostering community-driven development in the districts of Einsteinstadt, Kleinhoeflein, and St. Georgen. Ideas are presented, evaluated, and selected through a collaborative process, ensuring that projects meet the needs and desires of the local community.
Those interested in learning more about the process or submitting a project idea are encouraged to consult the city's website, PEKO.
- To further enrich living experiences in Einsteinstadt, consider proposing a community project that could transform home-and-garden spaces into communal areas for activities or even a new sports facility.
- In addition to environmental and public space improvements, the Citizens' Budget this year invites residents to elevate Einsteinstadt's lifestyle by suggesting new sports-oriented initiatives that encourage an active and healthy community.
