Seizing the Opportunity Expeditiously is Wise.
On Saturday, 22nd November, the city of Gütersloh is hosting a fruit tree distribution event at Westring 119. This event aims to promote local gardening and biodiversity, with a variety of fruit trees available for purchase at a discounted price of €20 each.
The available fruit trees include six apple trees, two pear trees, one plum, one walnut, and one chestnut. To secure your preferred tree, it's essential to submit an application in advance. The application form can be found online at www.natur.ourWebsite. Once submitted, an invoice will be sent for the fruit tree.
Please note that the number of trees per variety is limited, and they are allocated in the order of receipt of applications. It's recommended to indicate a second choice when ordering to increase the chances of receiving your preferred tree. Each participant will be assigned an individual time slot for pick-up to ensure a smooth distribution process.
New owners will receive a planting kit containing a stake, coconut rope, and planting instructions. The trees will also be professionally pruned on-site to ensure their health and growth. In addition, tips on planting and caring for the fruit trees will be provided.
For any questions or concerns, contact Hans-Bernd Hensen from the environmental department at 05241 / 82-2084 or by email at umweltschutz@ourWebsite. The responsible contact person for environmental questions regarding the fruit tree campaign can also be reached at the Kreis Gütersloh Umwelt department, telephone +49 5241 852703, email [email protected].
The Society for Nature and Environmental Protection in the Gütersloh District e.V. (GNU) will also be present, offering tips on designing a nature-friendly garden for more biodiversity.
Finally, it's important to note that only those who pay on time will receive a fruit tree. If payment is not received in time, the next person on the waiting list will be contacted. The trees must be planted in a Gütersloh garden with a minimum of eight square meters of planting area.
Join us on 22nd November and help make Gütersloh a greener city while enjoying fresh fruit from your own garden!
