Shark assault! New clothing line from Rapanui supports charitable endeavor through oceanic designs
In an exciting collaboration, Rapanui, a leading sustainable fashion brand, has teamed up with the marine charity, the Shark Trust, to launch a limited-edition collection aimed at supporting the conservation of UK's most threatened shark species. The collection, available exclusively at Rapanui, was unveiled in August 2025.
The collaboration, themed around various shark species, seeks to highlight the often misunderstood marine creatures and demonstrate that better systems, in conservation and in clothing, are possible. A key aspect of this initiative is the donation of 10% of the profits from each item sold to the Shark Trust's Oceanics Programme. This programme aims to protect shark species from overfishing, bycatch, and habitat destruction, not only in UK waters but also for migratory species worldwide.
The Shark Trust's Oceanics Programme focuses on conservation efforts for species such as angel sharks and blue sharks. Funds raised from the Rapanui collaboration will directly support these campaigns, helping to ensure the survival of these vital marine species.
The impact of this collaboration goes beyond just raising awareness. It also provides a platform for direct funding of conservation programs that work tirelessly to protect sharks and promote their recovery. By partnering with a brand focused on sustainability, the initiative also challenges fast fashion practices, aligning environmental responsibility with marine conservation.
The launch of this collection is accompanied by a series of photography, social media, and collaborations with marine scientists and photographers. The Shark Trust's exclusive content will also be featured on Rapanui's blog, offering customers insight into the work of the marine charity.
