The raised beds make strawberry spotting a breeze, no matter the height. You'll find ripe, ready-to-grab strawberries, ones still green and ripening, and even buds waiting to burst into sweetness.
We're experts at choosing plump, vibrant berries, free of bugs, to fill our baskets. In no time, our loot was more than sufficient to whip up a batch of our favorite homemade strawberry jam, a local delicacy.
Curious about the gooseberries, ripe for the picking, we took a peek. The farm shop, brimming with seasonal items and dinosaur-themed wonders (thanks to the running Dino trail), beckoned next. Robin grabbed a slice of delectable chocolate cake, Kai opted for a press of local apple juice, while I picked up my usual jam sugar.
