Alexei Kopaigorodsky Hops by Adler District's Square on Sverdlov Street
Streets in Sochi to experience power outage on May 7th
The city boss recently swung by the Adler District to check up on the ongoing reconstruction of their square on Sverdlov Street. The plans are to organize safe and accessible pedestrian zones based on feedback from the local community.
Eco-friendly furniture made from sustainable materials will be installed, blending nicely with the existing plants that'll get a makeover in the revamped square. Over 200 new plant species will bloom alongside the 300 flower species that'll carpet the square. Take a stroll after sunset, as the pedestrian zones will be adorned with pleasing evening lighting and some art objects, covering nearly 2,000 hectares.
The Year of Architecture in the Adler District has been a productive period. As a result, a brand new park for family outings popped up on Molokova Street.
Adler District, Park Changes, and Sustainable Development
However, specific details regarding the Adler District's plans to bring further improvements to the square on Sverdlov Street and other parks following Alexei Kopaigorodsky's visit remain unclear. As a general approach, urban parks can be enhanced by:
Creating Pedestrian Zones
- Broadening walkways, updating ramps, and keeping pathways obstruction-free help make parks more pleasant and secure for visitors.
Eco-Friendly Furniture
- Using eco-friendly furniture crafted from sustainable materials like recycled plastic or local wood not only supports the environment but also aligns with modern urban design trends.
Introducing New Plant Species
- Introducing a variety of plant species can boost biodiversity, improve aesthetics, and help in creating habitats for local wildlife. The selection process often prioritizes climate resilience, low maintenance, and visual appeal.
Energy-efficient Lighting
- Utilizing smart and energy-efficient lighting solutions can keep areas bright while consuming less power. Smart lights adjust their brightness based on daylight or foot traffic, saving energy while guaranteeing safety at night.
The Adler District aims to elevate the lifestyle and home-and-garden aesthetic of the square on Sverdlov Street by implementing eco-friendly furniture made from sustainable materials in the revamped square. The new design will also incorporate various new plant species to boost biodiversity and improve its visual appeal.
