New Stater Bros. Market Opens in Highland, California

The highly-anticipated Stater Bros. Market has officially opened its doors at 27920 Greenspot Road in Highland, California. This new store is part of Stater Bros. Markets’ ongoing expansion and refresh strategy across Southern California.

Located in Modesto, California, Stater Bros. is ranked No. 60 on The PG 100, Progressive Grocer's 2025 list of the top food and consumables retailers in North America. The Highland store, replacing a previous location that served the community for over 45 years, boasts nearly double the size of its predecessor, with approximately 46,000 square feet.

The new store provides customers with a modern shopping experience, offering fresh produce, premium meats, and ready-to-eat meal options. The meat department includes USDA Choice and Certified Angus Beef steaks, a selection of dry-aged beef, Hispanic sausages, and marinated chicken. The seafood department offers free seasoning and steaming services.

To cater to local shopping needs, the store also offers convenience with ready-to-cook prepped items like grilling meats, veggies, stuffed mushrooms, and cut-fresh fruit. Additional food experiences such as cheesy breads with various toppings, a burrito bar, and the store's popular fried chicken are also available.

In line with Stater Bros. commitment to giving back to the community, Stater Bros. Charities will donate a total of $30,000 to six local nonprofit organizations. The recipients include the Highland District Council on Aging Inc., Highland Head Start, Citrus Valley High School ASB, Loma Linda University Pediatric Clinic, American Legion Post 421, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Council.

The grand-opening celebration at the new Stater Bros. store in Highland, California, will continue all week with sampling events, grocery giveaways, and vendor appearances. The Citrus Valley High School Band will provide live music during the ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 25, marking the official start of the festivities.

Stater Bros. Markets currently operates nearly 170 supermarkets in Southern California and employs 18,000 associates. The company's CEO, Pete Van Helden, stated that the store answers the need for places where residents can get fresh and affordable groceries.
