Testing of the model residence is underway in Bispingen
In the heart of Germany, Center Parcs is revolutionizing the holiday experience with its latest offering at Bispinger Heide. The new holiday home, a Kfw40 low-energy house, is equipped with its own heat pump and photovoltaic system, making it an eco-friendly haven.
This innovative abode is part of Center Parcs' commitment to sustainability. The heart of the home is a combined living area in bold colors with an open kitchen, while large glass fronts and a spacious terrace invite guests to bring life outdoors. The motto for the design is "living inside out," a philosophy that resonates with the park's focus on a nature-rich park landscape.
The architect responsible for this climate-neutral masterpiece is Martin Ostermann. This new holiday home serves as a prototype for a potential Center Parcs location by the Baltic Sea, planned in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The park's director, Philipp Seimer, reported that the construction of the new bungalow was made possible after a fire in spring 2021. After a renovation costing 33 million euros, the park now offers a prestige holiday home to the Kfw40 low-energy standard.
Employees will extensively test the new prototype over the next six months to ensure a perfect holiday for guests. The interior of the new holiday home is open, flexible, and furnished in the premium range. A small retreat area has been set up near a wetland area, lined with tree trunks, providing a serene spot for relaxation.
The holiday village in Bispinger Heide is known for its emphasis on dream catchers, nature connection workshops, and quenching curiosity. To further enhance the connection with nature, a 2.7-kilometer-long trail has been created through the nature reserve at Center Parcs.
Center Parcs is investing a significant 220 million euros in the new location, which will house 500 holiday homes and 100 apartments by the end of 2027. A ranger, Imke Büsing, has been hired to design and lead the paid workshops, ensuring a memorable and educational experience for all.
In addition to the new holiday home, Center Parcs Germany has invested 300,000 euros in an observation tower around an old tree, providing barrier-free access via a ramp. This tower, along with the 2.7-kilometer trail, encourages guests to explore and appreciate the park's natural beauty.
The new holiday park in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is set to be a game-changer in the holiday industry, offering a unique blend of eco-friendliness, luxury, and immersion in nature.
