Transform Small Bathrooms with Clever Lighting Tricks

Transforming a small bathroom into a spacious, inviting haven is possible with clever lighting tricks. A German interior designer's advice includes using a SpaceX Bar Light and other techniques to enhance the sense of space. Starting from the ceiling, installing LED lights high up can draw the eye upward, creating an illusion of height and airiness. Natural light can be maximised with a skylight, making the room feel larger. For the vanity area, a backlit design adds brightness and serves as an instant focal point. A glass shower door allows light to move freely through the space, further enhancing the sense of size. The designer also suggested placing a full-length mirror behind the sink, with perimeter backlighting to reflect light throughout the room. Layered lighting, combining brighter overhead lights, softer wall lights, sconces, and cove lighting, can create depth and make the bathroom seem bigger. By cleverly utilising lighting, a small bathroom can be transformed into a more spacious and inviting space. The German designer's advice, including the use of a SpaceX Bar Light, demonstrates how light can be manipulated to enhance the sense of space and create a more comfortable environment.
