Unveiling the latest development blueprint: 'Westerbergweg/Deichmannweg (Deichmann Campus)' from the city authorities.

The city of Essen has announced a development plan for the Deichmann SE headquarters, inviting all interested citizens to take part in the planning process. The plan, which covers the current administrative site of Deichmann SE, as well as the existing building at Lautstraße 15, includes the creation of a campus with a park.

The building plan will be available online at www.our website/stadtplanung from September 23rd to October 23rd, 2025. During this period, citizens can view the documents during office hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 15:00, at the Office for Urban Planning and Building Regulations, Lindenallee 10, Germany House, 5th floor, Room 508. The plan documents will also be physically displayed at this location.

The plan documents' publication and display period includes a submission period for public statements. Citizens can submit their statements electronically or by other means to the Office for Urban Planning and Building Regulations during this period. The responsible authority for collecting these statements is typically the local municipal planning department or city administration of Essen.

The development plan aims to create a park that connects the green spaces northwest and southeast of the Deichmann site. This park, intended to benefit the general public with its unique atmosphere, is a key part of the development goal of creating a campus with a park. The arrangement of buildings in the development plan allows for the creation of this park.

The city portal encourages public participation in the planning process. Statements can be submitted to the city portal - Office for Urban Planning and Building Regulations. The portal invites all interested citizens to participate in shaping the future of the Deichmann headquarters area in Essen.
