Turn Up for the Waldchestag Bash in Frankfurt's City Forest!
Are you ready for a rip-roaring good time? The biggest traditional shindig in the Main metropolis is kicking off today - Waldchestag! Immerse yourself in apple wine, thrilling rides, hand cheese, and groovy tunes, all set against the backdrop of Pentecost in the city forest.
Mayor Mike Josef couldn't be more stoked, labeling Waldchestag "a national holiday for Frankfurt residents", praising its rich history and family-friendly vibe. The festivities officially begin at 5 pm today and move to 12 pm from the weekend onwards.

Take a 1.5-hour Frankfurt Waldchestag Tour from Saturday to Monday, and you'll not only soak up some insightful historical background but also score a thrilling ride on a Ferris wheel with panoramic views over the festivities and the city skyline. Side note: No superhero costumes, please.
Fairground Frenzy: Rides Galore!
Aside from the music and yummy munchies, Waldchestag boasts around 20 fairground rides, 8 of which are designed just for the kiddos. Put your bravery hat on and give the roller coaster or the Disco Express a whirl - an exhilarating, fast-paced ride that'll have you dancing to the biggest tunes! For the young 'uns, there's a mini-airport where they can take flight in their very own small planes.
Get There: Bus, Train, or Take a Stroll!
Since the World Club Dome event is also starting in the Waldstadion at the same time, expect the crowds. Your best bet is to catch a bus (lines 61 and 80) or tram (20 and 21) from the southern train station, or venture out on foot or bicycle if you're staying nearby. Just remember, the forest air smells extra sweet after a few glasses of apple wine!
