Veteran eatery, Gütersloher restaurant, shockingly announces its closure after over a decade in business.
The Rioja restaurant, a cherished establishment in Gütersloh, has announced its potential permanent closure by August 31st. This Spanish eatery, located on Brockhaeger Street 54, has been a successful part of the city's culinary scene for over a decade.
Known for its Spanish delights and pleasant evenings, the Rioja restaurant offers a unique Spanish ambiance along with its cuisine. The restaurant's team has expressed gratitude to guests, especially regulars, for their support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the sadness that this announcement has brought to Tapas lovers, social media users have been expressing their well-wishes to the staff. The restaurant's management, however, has not disclosed their future plans.
The Rioja restaurant primarily focuses on Spanish cuisine and Tapas, boasting around 260 different Tapas on its menu. It has been a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike, who have enjoyed its welcoming atmosphere and delicious food.
Matthias Reiprich, the owner of the Rioja restaurant, has decided to close the Gütersloh location to focus on his other restaurant, the Michelin-starred Tafelspitz 1876 in Bielefeld. Reiprich found it challenging to manage both restaurants simultaneously and has chosen to concentrate his efforts on the Bielefeld location for the future.
The Rioja restaurant will continue to operate at its usual times until its potential closure: Tuesday to Thursday from 6 pm to 11 pm, Friday and Saturday from 5 pm to midnight, and Sunday from 5 pm to 11 pm. For those who have yet to visit, it's a great opportunity to experience the flavours of Spain one last time.
