Vietnam's Ministry of Construction Boosts Business Environment, Advances Legislation
The Ministry of Construction (MoC) in Vietnam has made significant strides in promoting investment and development. It has issued nine decrees, one resolution, and 32 circulars with new contents, and received approval for a plan to reduce and simplify business investment conditions.
The MoC has exceeded its targets set by Directive No. 66/NQ-CP. It has reduced 193 business investment conditions, including 181 reductions and 12 simplifications, within the last nine months. This demonstrates the ministry's commitment to creating a more favourable business environment.
The ministry has also focused on legislative work. It has completed and submitted the Railway Law and six resolutions to the National Assembly. Looking ahead, the MoC plans to finalise and submit the Aviation Law, Urban and Rural Planning Law, and the amended Construction Law by the end of 2025.
Minister Minh has directed the Department of Science and Technology to build a construction industry database by 2025. Additionally, the ministry will assess the impact of eliminating construction licensing procedures. These efforts indicate the MoC's dedication to streamlining processes, enhancing planning, and fostering a more robust construction industry.
