Weekend parking celebration in the district of Wengen, scheduled for Saturday
The picturesque Wengenviertel quarter in Ulm is set to undergo a transformation on September 20, 2025, as the Green Parking Day Ulm takes place. Over the past few years, traffic-calmed areas, pedestrian zones, trees, and green spaces have been established in this charming area, making it more beautiful and livable.
On this special day, action areas between Wengenkirche and Robert-Scholl-Platz will be bustling with lively and lovable activities. Around 30 participating organisations will focus on the Wengenviertel, showcasing their commitment to the event's theme: "City - Green - (Re)Life!".
The repurposing of around 15 parking spaces in Walfisch- and Ulmer Gasse during the event aims to demonstrate that these areas can gain in staying quality when eventbrite spaces are removed. This initiative is part of a broader effort to create a more sustainable and livable city.
